In Koko, 30 confident and enthusiastic women leaders gathered for training 27 August – 31 August, 2012. They immediately identified the local market as one of the problems in their community that they want to change.
The market in Koko is in shambles—the thatched roofs have caved in, the poles are askew and the surrounding bushes have begun to overtake the stalls.

This week a five-day Common Ground Advocacy Training-of-Trainers (ToT) was held in Port Harcourt. Programming staff from CEHRD, NIDPRODEV, SDN, SFCG and a representative from ARDA were trained.
They are now ready to head to the seven communities to train women and youth leaders to engage in their community’s decision-making process.
